The Bharat Mata Mandir (“Mother India Temple”) is a temple dedicated to mother India in the Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith, Varanasi, India. The temple was made in honour of mother India and houses an undivided image of Mother India. Constructed in the year 1936 by Babu Shiv Prasad Gupta (a freedom fighter), the temple was inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi and is one of its kind temple in the entire world. Made using stones, the Bharat Mata temple depicts the relief map of India carved out of marble depicting the plains, oceans, and mountains of the motherland of India.

It is believed that the shrine was discovered by Pandit Shridhar around 700 years ago. The holy shrine worships Shakti in the form of three holy pindies depicting Mata Saraswati, Mata Lakshmi, and Mata Kali. Legends have it that Mata Vaishno, also known as Vaishnavi spent some time at the cave. The Mahabodhi temple also known as Mahabodhi Vihar, literally the “Great Awakening Temple”, is a famous Buddhist temple & UNESCO World Heritage Site situated at Bodh Gaya, in the district of Gaya, in the state of Bihar. The temple marks the place where Gautama Buddha gained enlightenment. One of the finest examples of the oldest brick structures seen in eastern India, the entire temple complex is a believed to be constructed around 300-600 CE during the Gupta dynasty. The temple complex comprise a descendent of the Bodhi tree, images of Avalokiteśvara Vajrapani, Marichi, Tara, Jambhala, Yamantaka, Vajravārāhī and deities including Surya, Vishnu, Shiva, and others.

The Rock Temples at Aurangabad also known as Aurangabad caves are 12 artificial rock cut Buddhist shrines located atop a hill in Aurangabad in the state of Maharashtra. Dug out of soft basalt rock during the 6th & 7th century, the caves are also referred in the great Chaitya of the Kanheri Caves. The caves are classed into three groups, featuring sculptural carvings which are often compared to Ajanta. The caves feature fretwork, panels of couples, scrolls, tassels, geometrical design, flowers, and other artistic designs. Situated at an elevation of 2286 meters in the Kumaon Hills, the town of Mukteshwar is a famous tourist attraction in Nainital, Uttarakhand. The town was named after the Mukhteshwar Dham, a 350 old temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located atop the highest point in the town. Blessed with rich scenic beauty, the destination offers the most magnificent views of the Himalayas and Nanda Devi, the second highest peak in the country. The Chauli-ki-Jali (overhanging cliffs) located nearby is a famous spot for rock climbing, and rappelling. The town is the abode of Saint Mukhteshwar Maharaj, whose Samadhi is situated at the cottage temple at the top.

Rishikund is a holy pond situated in Rishikesh near the Raghunath temple. It is believed that the pond was built by a saint and filled with the holy water of the Yamuna by the goddess herself. Surrounded by large trees and plush greenery, the lake comprises ten steps that lead to the centre. A clear image of the Raghunath temple can be seen in the reflection of the lake. It is believed that Lord Ram used to take bath in the Lake while on exile. Furthermore, it is also said that the rivers Ganga and Yamuna meet at this place. Triveni Ghat is a sacred site in Rishikesh situated on the banks of the River Ganga at the confluence of the Ganges, the Yamuna and the Saraswati. It is believed that those who take a bath at this ghat get purified and as a result, many devotees take a dip at the ghat during morning & evening. The evening aarti also known as “Maha Aarti” is the main attraction at the ghat. The chants of bhajans, beating drums, and mantras, create a magical aura that invites many devotees and visitors. Devotees also make early morning offerings at the ghat and ceremonies like “Pindha Shraddha” are performed at the ghats.

Day 01 – Colombo Airport – Negombo

After your arrival at airport, you will be taken to Negombo Hotel to stay and enjoy luxury accommodation.

Day 02 – Negombo – Kandy
Day will start with your journey to Kandy with a stop at Pinnawala that is famous for elephant orphanage and breeding center of Elephants. Later, you will be reaching to Kandy – that is famous for its religious significance as it is the center for Buddhism and culture. You will also see a cultural show here.

Day 3: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya
The day is reserved for a tour to Dalada Maligawa – the temple of the Tooth Relic in Kandy. The same day, you will proceed to Nuwaraeliya.
