The Mehrangarh Fort located in the city of Jodhpur, in the state of Rajasthan is one of the largest forts in India. Constructed around 1460, under the reign of Rao Jodha, the fort is perched at 410 feet above the ground. The interiors of the thick imposing structure comprise palaces with intricate carvings, sprawling courtyards, and an impressive style of architecture. Moreover, there is a museum at the fort comprising galleries showcasing elephant’s howdahs, palanquins, Daulat Khana-the treasures of the museum, armoury, marwar paintings, and much more. Made in Maru-Gurjara style of architecture, the Jain temples at Ranakpur are designed with four faces depicting the conquest of the Tirthankara in four directions. Moreover, the temple also features stone carvings inspired from the Mirpur Jain temple at Mirpur in Rajasthan. The temple is believed to be constructed around 1473 CE, and has been renovated from time to time.

Jaswant Thada is a cenotaph in the city of Jodhpur, built by Maharaja Sardar Singh of Jodhpur in the year 1899, in honour of his father Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. A popular tourist attraction in Jodhpur, the Jaswant Thada has served as a burial ground for many Marwar rulers. Built entirely out of marble sheets carved with intricate designs, which emits a warm glow in sunlight, the Jaswant Thada is a rare work of architecture that attracts a lot of visitors. The cenotaph features gazebos, tiered garden, and a small lake, which add to the beauty of the entire mausoleum.

Detailed Itinerary


Day 01 Arrive Delhi

After your arrival at airport, you will be transferred at hotel. You are free for rest of the day to enjoy on your own.

Day 02 Delhi – Udaipur (Flight) – Korta (150 Km / 3 Hrs)
You will take a flight to Udaipur Rajasthan from where you will be reaching Korta by visiting some sightseeing of Udaipur City Palace, Saheliyon Ki Bari, Bagore Ki Haveli, Jagdish Haveli.

Day 03 Korta (Riding Distance 28 Km)
The day will begin with horse riding in outdoor arena of Korta. You will ride through dry riverbed for historic temple of Mother Goddess.

Day 04 Korta – Jungle Camp (24 Km)
Start trailing towards the hills and ride towards the jungle camp near forested patch in the middle of dry riverbed.

Day 05 Korta – Bera (Riding Distance 30 Km)
You will ride through the village and tracks that are ancient passing through green fields. You will also reach Aravali Hills and the reach Bera.

Day 06 Bera – Ranakpur (Riding Distance 26 Km)
You will pass through the tracks with lush green fields, mountains and tribal belts in jungles of Aravali Hills in India. You will also see Ranakpur Jain Temple.

Day 07 Ranakpur – Ghanerao (Riding Distance 28 Km)
You will move parallel to the Arvalli Ranges. Later, you will reach a small shepherd village and then to Ghanerao.

Day 08 Ghanerao – Kumbhalgarh (Riding Distance 22 Km)
You will be riding through the wildlife sanctuary to see a variety of animals and reptiles. Same day, you will reach Kumbhalgarh by crossing the thick forested range of Aodhi.

Day 09 Kumbhalgarh – Jodhpur / Udaipur
You will be driving back to Jodhpur or Udaipur and join for a Jeep Safari or go for onward journey.

Dusshera

Date – October – 11, 2016
Destination – Mysore, Karnataka and Kullu, Himachal Pradesh
Mysore Dussehra is one of the most popular state festivals celebrated with grand joyous in the month of November in Mysore in the state of Karnataka. The grand festival lasts for ten days with the day being Vijayadashami – the most auspicious day of Dussehra festival. It is celebrated on the occasion of a religious significance. It is the day when Goddess Chamundeshwari killed the demon Mahishasura. Tourists from across the country participate in this and prefer to stay for ten days to witness different cultural programs. International Kite Festival, Jaipur

Date – January 13-14 2016.
