Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park is a reserved wildlife area spread across the districts of Idukki, Kottayam, and Pathanamthitta, in the state of Kerala. Ranthambore National Park
Ranthambore National Park located in the Sawai Madhopur district is one of the largest national parks in North India, sprawled across an area of 392 sq. km. Initially established as the Sawai Madhopur Game Sanctuary in 1955, Ranthambore played a pivotal role as a project tiger reserve and finally gained the status of a national park in 1980. Considered one of the best wildlife centers with a great population of tigers, the Ranthambore national park is one of the best places for tiger sightseeing. The other wildlife animals at the national park comprise leopard, wild boar, nilgai, sloth bear, sambar, hyena, rhesus macaque, southern plains gray langur, and chital. Kongali Bihu
Date – October 18,2016.
Destination – Assam
Kongali Bihu, also called as Kati Bihu, is a type of Bihu celebrated at the harvested time. The festival starts with lighten the earthen lamps at the foot of the household Tulsi Plant, the granary and garden along with the paddy fields. In order to protect the maturing paddy, people whirl a piece of bamboo and recite along with spelling the ward off pests and the evil eye. It is a less merriment festival that is celebrated in certain areas only. However, people also wear colorful and traditional clothes and worship along with participating in different cultural programs.
Elephant Festival
Date – February 16 – 19, 2016.
Destination – Kaziranga National Park, Assam
Elephant Festival in Assam or Kaziranga Elephant Festival is a yearly elephant festival help in the Kaziranga National Park Assam for the conservation and protection of Asiatic elephant. It is organized by the Forest Department in collaboration with Tourism Department of Assam with an objective to highlight and find ways to resolve increasing man-elephant conflict.
